Brandy is Back

After 8 weeks of basically crate rest…. Brandy got the all clear to be a puppy again! We’re all thrilled – but not as thrilled as she is.

I saw both the before and after X-rays. They’re hard to look at. The initial breaks were severe, and the hardware used to fix the joint is intense. But the surgeon was very pleased with her leg, how she is moving, and the follow up X-rays. He doesn’t anticipate any further complications aside from potentially some arthritis many years from now (likely at an age when arthritis would be expected).

She’s such a lovely puppy and I’m so excited to get her out and about, training, and just playing like a puppy should be!
