I took a chance and entered Sioux in and NW2 in MD... and we got in!
A little good, a little bad.
It's been nearly two months since my last post and so much has changed. Some good things, some not good.
NW1’s and ORTs
First a little exciting nose work news - Sioux passed her Odor Recognition Tests the beginning of June and Roo Frank was accepted into his NACSW NW1 trial in July!
Best Dog Treat Recipes – Oh Fudge.
Tuna fudge, that is. Or sometimes sardine and Parmesan cheese fudge (because my dogs like their treats extra smelly). I use this treat as a high value reward when I'm going to ask my dogs to do something really hard (like go to a trial). This treat is so easy to make and you can... Continue Reading →

Intro to Nosework
While Joe and I have been playing around with competition obedience, Roo Frank has been trying his nose at nose work. He has been having a lot of fun with it. Last week was our first time searching with different sized boxes and off leash. He didn't seem to have any trouble finding the meatballs!
